Shumë herët në jetë vura re se asnjë ngjarje nuk raportohet në mënyrë korrekte në gazetë, por në Spanjë për herë të parë pashë reportazhe në gazeta të cilët nuk kishin asnjë lidhje me faktet, madje nuk kishte as një lidhje as me gënjeshtrën. Pashë se shumë beteja raportoheshin ku nuk kishte aspak luftime, dhe heshtje totale atje ku ishin vrarë me qindra njerëz. Pashë burra që luftonin burrërisht të akuzoheshin si frikacakë dhe tradhëtarë, dhe të tjerë që nuk kishin shtënë asnjë krismë të mbaheshin si heronj me fitore imagjinare, dhe pashë gazeta në Londër t'i riciklonin këto gënjeshtra dhe intelektualë të paduruar të krijonin sajime emocionale për ngjarje që nuk ndodhën kurrë. Në fakt pashë se historia shkruhej jo në marrëdhënie me atë që ndodhi, por me atë që duhet të ndodhte sipas linjave të partisë.

Xhorxh Orvell (1903 - 1950) luftoi në Luftën Civile Spanjolle
 
Rusia ka deklaruar një urdhër arresti për Xhorxhin. Ai supozohet se është promovuesi kryesor i luftës në Ukrainë dhe gjithashtu sponsorizuesi i trazirave të përgjakshme që hoqën nga pushteti Janukoviçin në 2014. Kina gjithashtu e ka deklaruar si Terrorist të Financave, dhe që të dyja shtetet kërkojnë kokën e tij.
